No. 1 Westfield hit a bump in the road, tying No. 2 Agawam and losing to Central Mass. stalwart Wachusett, but the Bombers still have not lost to a Western Mass. team and maintain the top position in the weekly poll.
Agawam, which has been coming on strong, is pushing Westfield and the Brownies are looking forward to the rematch later this month. Agawam did suffer its first loss to Wayland. No. 9 West Springfield and No. 10 Belchertown both moved into the top 10.

E. Longmeadow

Minnechaug
– Chicopee defeated Easthampton 6-1 at Fitzpatrick Skating Arena as Devan Longtin scored four goals. Longtin has a team-leading 16 goals this season. John Baker and Stephen Ford had one goal each. Ryan McDonough and Christian Salamon each added two assists.
– East Longmeadow hockey team defeated South Hadley 10-4 Saturday at Fitzpatrick Skating Arena thanks to multi-point performances from eight different players. Ben Wosky scored four goals and set up another. Angelo Morace added a pair of goals, while Nick Corbin, Anthony Forest, Mike Leahy and Angelica Mushenko added one apiece.
– Matt Walthouse tipped an Andrew Moody shot in for the equalizer with 1.7 seconds remaining as Longmeadow tied Hudson, 2-2. It was Walthouse’s second power-play goal of the contest.
– Anthony Piteo and linemates Cam Mariani and Josh DeCarolis combined for all Minnechaug’s scoring in its 5-1 win over Ludlow.
