* For the third consecutive year, Longmeadow and Westfield will meet for the Western Massachusetts Division 3 title. No. 1 Longmeadow beat No. 4 East Longmeadow, 6-1 and No. 3 Westfield edged No 2 Minnechaug, 5-4 in double overtime Thursday in emotional action. Liam Byrne led Longmeadow with two goals. Jack Barron, Robert Joyall and Patrick Philbon also scored. Max Loyuk made 27 saves.
Scotty Bussell beat Corb Marini late during the second overtime to lift three-time reigning champion Westfield. Matt Barnes and Spencer Cloutier also had single goals for the Bombers. Steve Mushenko scored twice for the Falcons.
