BFA-St. Albans topped Rice, 5-1. Three third-period goals were the difference, as Carl Laroe had a goal and two assists and Matt Boudreau added two helpers. Goalie Evan Chagnon had a 50-save night for Rice. Emerson Prager scored a goal for the Green Knights.

[divider]Champlain Valley cruised past Essex, 5-1, in a battle for supremacy. Will Bernicke had two goals, and Ryan Keelan added a goal and two assists. Junior Greg Talbert added 20 saves. Steve Morse’s goal on assists from Jon Palmer and Ryan Manley tied the score for Essex, but the top-ranked CVU team scored four unanswered goals. Thomas Samuelsen also scored for the winners, and Oscar Kelly added two assists.
