Can anyone stop Hartford? The 14-0-0 Hurricanes have left zero doubt about who is
the best team in Vermont D2 at this point, but they will have to fight off several contenders down the stretch to maintain a perfect record.
Other than a 5-3 loss to #1 Hartford, the Milton Yellowjackets have not lost to a D2
team since December 30th.
Burr & Burton vaulted up the rankings with a win over Lyndon, and gave
Hartford their biggest test in a 3-2 loss.
Lyndon Institute has one more chance to ruin Hartford’s perfect season when they
travel south to face them Monday night. The Vikings have a respectable 8-4 record
and a win over D1 Spaulding back in December to build from.
U-32 (Montpelier) has won five in a row and will host Hartford on February 19.
Of note: A solid Mount Mansfield Union team will get its chance to beat Hartford
and crack the top five this Wednesday.
