There is lots of movement in Division 2 in Vermont this week. New No. 1 Harwood has won four in a row now after its 7-6 shootout loss to Lyndon Institute back on Jan. 18. Harwood beat Milton, 3-2 in OT, and Burlington, 4-1, this week.

No. 2 Woodstock moves up two slots. It beat previous No. 1, Lyndon, 3-1, then followed that with a 3-2 win over St. Johnsbury. Make that four out of five victories for Woodstock.

No. 3 Milton stays put. It suffered a setback to Harwood but not for a lack of effort as it went into an extra session. The Yellow Jackets went on to a nice 2-1 win over Northfield.

No. 4 Lyndon Institute fell a few slots because of that loss to Woodstock and the solid play of Milton. (Milton beat Lyndon, 3-2, Dec. 23, which pretty much was our tie-breaker for that third spot). Lyndon took care of Burlington, 5-0, in a recovery game after the loss to Woodstock.

No. 5 Burr & Burton gets into the Top Five this week. It’s won three out of four, including wins last week over Mt. Mansfield (4-2) and Brattleboro (6-3).
