No. 1 Rice Memorial remains on top after it beat Rutland, 7-1, and South Burlington, 5-2. The team has now won six in a row, the longest streak in the Green Mountain State for a Division 1 team this season. It has only allowed five goals in its last five games.

No. 2 Essex is bumped up after it had a solid week. The Hornets outscored two foes, 9-0 – CVU and BFA/St. Albans – this week. The team is now 2-0-1 since its loss to Rice back on Dec. 28.

No. 3 Spaulding also jumped up a spot after it beat Colchester, 3-2, in OT and Woodstock, 3-1. In the four games after losing to Essex, Spaulding is 4-0 and has outscored is opponents, 11-5.

No. 4 BFA/St. Albans beat Middlebury Union, 2-1, then fell to Essex, 2-0. It was deserving of a move up one spot due in large part to its performance against Essex. Meanwhile, No. 5 Middlebury Union cracked the rankings on the strength of its 3-1 win over Stowe.
