No. 1 Mt. Mansfield holds onto the top spot following solid wins against Burlington, 4-1, and Brattleboro, 4-2. The Cougars head to Harwood Wednesday and have a home date with Stowe on Saturday.

No. 2 Woodstock toppled D1 Burr & Burton, 2-1, and Hartford, 6-2, to win the Phillipe Bouthillier Holiday Classic. The Wasps resume action Saturday at Hartford.

One to keep an eye on: Mt. Mansfield and Woodstock square off on Jan. 13 (Union Arena, 8:10 p.m.).

No. 3 Colchester swaps places with No. 4 Burlington in this week’s rankings.¬†After splitting two games in the run-up to Christmas, Colchester tied Harwood, 2-2, in its only action of the holiday week. The Lakers resume action on Saturday against Lyndon Institute. Meanwhile, Burlington had that loss to Mt. Mansfield in its only game of the week. The Seahorses face a sizable gap in their schedule before visiting Lyndon on Jan. 13.

No. 5 Lyndon Institute moves into the poll this week. The Vikings’ lone loss to date came at the hands of D1 U-32, 2-1. The Vikings visit Milton on Wednesday and Colchester on Saturday.
