Unlike last week, when four Top Five teams changed places, everyone stayed put this week. No. 1 North Country handled Brattleboro with ease, 7-1, in its only game. The Falcons close the regular season at Mt. Mansfield Wednesday and Burlington Friday.
No. 2 Burr & Burton picked up workmanlike wins against Brattleboro, 4-0, and St. Johnsbury, 4-1, in the past week. The Bulldogs head to Hartford Wednesday and host Lyndon Institute Saturday.
No. 3 Hartford knocked off Missisquoi, 3-0, and Burlington, 7-2. The Hurricanes shoot to reverse an earlier 5-2 loss in that game against Burr & Burton and close the regular season Saturday at home against Brattleboro.
No. 4 Harwood outscored Missisquoi, 7-4. The Highlanders close with three games this week – at Northfield Monday, at Lyndon Institute Wednesday and home against Burlington Saturday.
No. 5 Milton can’t seem to clear that .500 hump. After defeating Mt. Mansfield, 4-1, the Yellowjackets absorbed a hard-to-figure 4-3 loss to Northfield. They finish on the road Wednesday at St. Johnsbury and Saturday at Missisquoi.
