No. 1 Woodstock returned from a week off to shut out Northfield, 5-0, Saturday, its sixth whitewash of the season. The Wasps square off with Missisquoi Valley for division control Wednesday night before returning home for Saturday’s Senior Night game against U-32.

OK, this one’s on us, dating all the way back to new No. 2 Missisquoi Valley’s 3-0 season-opening win against Colchester. Whoops. MVU stretched its winning streak to 10 games with this week’s wins against Brattleboro, 6-3, and U-32, 7-1, and, including that December win vs. Colchester, has not lost a D2 game. They get their shot at Woodstock Wednesday and then head to Harwood Saturday.

Now No. 3 Colchester knocked off Milton, 1-0, and Lyndon, 3-1 and was set to hit the ice again Monday afternoon against Harwood. The Lakers close the week against Hartford looking to add to their current shutout total (7).

It was a split week for No. 4 Mt. Mansfield, which silenced Northfield, 2-0, but dropped a 3-1 decision to Milton. Home games against Lyndon (Wednesday) and Burr & Burton (Saturday) are on this week’s schedule.

No. 5 Harwood also split games, shutting down Hartford, 1-0, but falling to St. Johnsbury, 4-3. They face off with Milton and Missisquoi Valley this week.
