#1 Bishop Hendricken lost its first Rhode Island game this season, falling to Burrillville in overtime, 4-3. Ready to jump ship at the top spot? Not a chance. Hendricken should respond after the loss.
#2 Mount St. Charles nipped LaSalle, 4-3, in a huge match up, vaulting it ahead of #3 LaSalle in the top three. #3 LaSalle takes on Hendricken Feb. 1 at Thayer Arena (6 p.m.).
#4 Smithfield topped Prout, 3-1, in its lone game this week.
We’d love to bump #5 Burrillville up even higher after its stunning 4-3 OT win over top-seeded Hendricken, but they suffered a 1-0 loss to Moses Brown/East Providence/Tolman two days later.
#6 Cumberland had a convincing 4-1 win over East Greenwich and a 3-2 win over Lincoln.
#7 Ponaganset ripped through its week with an 8-3 win over North Kingstown and an 8-1 triumph over Toll Gate.
#8 PSW took care of North Smithfield, 9-4.
#9 Portsmouth topped South Kingstown, 4-2, and North Smithfield, 4-3.
#10 Rogers/Middletown/Rocky Hill makes its way back into the top 10 after doubling up Cranston West, 4-2.
