#1 Bishop Hendricken went through the week without a loss. It tied LaSalle in a battle of titans, 4-4, and then came back to own Smithfield, 7-0.
#2 Mount St. Charles is totaling heating up at the right time. The Mounties have won six straight and have three shutouts in its last four games. Last week, it beat Moses Brown, 6-0, and Barrington, 3-0.
#3 LaSalle had a pair of ties, knotting up the top team Hendricken, 4-4, and also Xavier of Middletown, Conn., 1-1.
It was an obvious choice to bump up Burrillville to #4 after its convincing 4-0 win over Smithfield.
#5 Cumberland continues to dominate Division 2. The team has won seven in a row, three of the last four last via the shutout. It beat Toll Gate, 8-0, Coventry, 3-0, and Portsmouth, 5-1, this past week.
#6 Smithfield tied Bishop Feehan of Massachusetts before its loss to Burrillville. Smithfield’s ailing a bit with a tie and two losses in its last three.
#7 Ponaganset sat idle this past week and plays East Greenwich, RMR and Coventry this coming week.
#8 Cranston West makes its way into the poll this week after a solid week. It beat Coventry, 5-0, Portsmouth, 7-1, and PCD, 5-2. It’s won three straight after five consecutive losses.
#9 PCD’s loss to Cranston West snapped a six-game win streak. PCD was coming off victories over Toll Gate (3-0) and South Kingstown (3-2).
#10 Lincoln had a solid week in Division 2, topping East Greenwich, 2-1, and RMR, 4-2.
