Top-seeded Bishop Hendricken had a light week in Rhode Island and made quick work of Barrington, winning 9-0. The Hawks did go to the Pope Francis Invitational over the weekend and fell to Delbarton School (3-1) and Fairfield Prep (3-1).

#2 Mount St. Charles had an unbeaten Rhode Island week with wins over Burrillville, 4-2, and Prout, 4-1. It also fell to Mass.’s St. John’s Prep, 5-3.

#3 LaSalle blanked Burrillville, 3-0, and fell to Greenwich of Connecticut, 3-2.

#4 Cumberland is the team to beat in Division 2. It nipped PSW, 3-2, and easily handled North Smithfield, 6-1.

 #5 Smithfield had a last-second win over Barrington, 3-2. #6 Ponaganset fell to RMR, 4-3, but bounced back with a nice 9-5 victory over Coventry.

#7 Burrillville slides this week. It made no waves when it had the chance against the big boys – falling to the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in our poll this past week.

Cranston West, at #8, had a nice night beating South Kingstown, 7-1.

RMR gets into the poll this week at #9 after wins over Ponaganset, 4-3, and Toll Gate, 6-3. It’s won four out of five.

Lincoln saw its four-game winning streak snapped with a 4-3 loss to Portsmouth. The team beat Coventry, 4-1, the day before.
