Rhode Island HS Highlights: Hendricken slips past Cumberland

Mount Hope 3, Johnston/North Providence 1

Brandon Tanguay gave Johnston/NP an early lead, but it was all Mount Hope from there. Kyrik Cordeiro scored a goal and Jack Dolan added two. Ryan Cordeiro had three assists.

Bishop Hendricken 4, Cumberland 2

Brett Berard had two goals, and Cam Toussiant and Matt Dumond added the others for the winners. Tyler Brown had two assists. Jack Malloy and Aidan Cleary had the goals for Cumberland.

Kolye Bankauskas

Coventry 3, North Smithfield 0

Thomas Julian earned the shutout, and Patrick Egan (two) and Kolye Bankauskas took care of the scoring.

RMR 5, North Kingstown 1

RMR made the most of the final period to break a 1-1 tie with North Kingstown. Carl Firlings, JC Lopes, Cole Streicher and Dylan Stahl had the goals in the final period. Dan Sullivan put the winners on board in the first. Nicholas Chabot had North Kingstown’s only goal.

Pilgrim 4, Scituate/Woonsocket 1

AJ Sherlock had two goals for the winners, and Dan DeRobbio and Collin Driscoll also scored for Pilgrim. Michael Sollenberger and Matt Pacheco added two assists each. Kyle Dimascio got the win in net. Joe Roy scored for Scituate/Woonsocket.

LaSalle 6, Prout 0

Matt Pimental scored two goals, and Ryan Schwender, Matt Murphy, Sean Helfrich and Zenas Kennedy added the others. Schwender had three assists, and Brayden Edwards had two assists.

Smithfield 3, Moses Brown 2

Tyler Varin scored two goals in the win as Smithfield trailed 2-1 heading into the third. Tyler Piekarski had a goal and two assists. Ryan Falls had three assists, and Jacob Steckler had each Moses Brown goal.

WW/EWG 4, Johnston/North Providence 2

The winners raced out to a 4-0 lead and held on as Christian Campbell and Brandon Tanguay scored goals in the third. Brenden Coski scored twice for the winners, Nicholas Pecchia and Matthew Henault added goals. Liam Hogan had two assists.
