We’re winding down the regular season here with a few games to go before playoffs start this weekend.

No. 1 LaSalle Academy beat Cumberland, 4-1, and saw its key matchup with Moses Brown postponed to Wednesday at Brown University (5:45 p.m.) because of weather conditions.

No. 2 Moses Brown made another statement by blanking No. 5 Mount St. Charles, 4-0.

No. 3 Bishop Hendricken beat Cranston West, 1-0. No. 9 Coventry took down Division 2 North’s top team No. 4 Barrington, 6-5, which suffered its first Rhode Island loss this season.

No. 6 RMR sat idle and awaits the playoffs. No. 7 Smithfield fell to Burrillville, 3-2. 

No. 8 Portsmouth took down Coventry, 2-1, and finishes up Tuesday against East Greenwich.

No. 10 Ponaganset steams into the poll on a hot streak. The team beat South Kingstown, 4-0, and PCD/Wheeler/St. Rays, 4-3, this past weekend and is 7-2-3 in their last 12 games.
