NJ HS Hockey – Notre Dame, Paul VI, Lawrence Hope For Solid Years In Colonial Valley Conference

New Jersey’s Colonial Valley Conference again will feature two divisions: the Colonial Division and the Valley Division.

PAUL VI

The Eagles will look to come together as a team as they battle for success in the CVC.

Two key forwards back in the fold are senior Jack Paolini (13 pts) and junior Eddie Lutz (12 pts). Newcomers looking to contribute are sophomore C.J. Compagnola and freshmen Sean Dugan and Ben Williams.

Senior Matt Carson and junior John Lenox are defensive cornerstones for coach Charlie Hall.

Three netminders – junior Santino Castagna, sophomore Kailyn Williams and freshman Jake Lenox – will battle for goaltending duties.

NOTRE DAME

A big focus this year for the Irish will be to have fun. “We are lucky to be playing,” said coach Mike McVey. “With the limited schedule and travel I think we just need to come ready to play each game and enjoy what we have.”

Senior Carson Skove and juniors Will Celli and Michael McVey will be factors offensively for the Irish.

A veteran trio of experienced blue liners are seniors Sam Kraus and Jakob Papiez and junior Drew Werthman. New freshman Cole Werthman will be in the mix for time between the pipes.

LAWRENCE

The Cardinals will look to be a factor in the Valley Division.

Jack Yamniuck, Spencer Cohen, Will Kocsis and Jason Keller will be offensive leaders for coach Andrew Dudich.

Gilliam Kibbey and Nate Kocheran will be keys in the defensive zone.
