We begin where we finished a year ago. Reigning Division I State Champion and No. 1 Berlin/Gorham (2-0-0) is again that team. The Grizzlies rapped Kennett in their opener, 7-1 then squeezed past rival Belmont/Gilford, 2-1.
No. 2 Hollis/Brookline-Derryfield (2-0-0) owns early wins against ConVal/Conant and Kearsarge/Plymouth by a combined 15-3 margin. Jesse Gertz scored twice against KP.
No. 3 Lebanon/Stevens/Mount Royal (1-0-0) squeezed past John Stark/Hopkinton/Hillsboro/Deering, 2-1.
No. 4 Kennett (1-1-0) rebounded from that loss to Berlin/Gorham by ending Laconia/Winnisquam/Inter-Lakes 3-2.
No. 5 JSHHD (1-1-0) rebounded from its opening loss to LSMR by knocking off Sanborn/Epping, 5-2.
