No.1 Saint Thomas (2-0) started strong with an 8-0 win over Spaulding and remained unbeaten after a 3-2 overtime instant classic with Dover.  Another test lies ahead with Merrimack.

No.2 Dover (1-2) beat Division 1 Bow but lost two close games to rivals Oyster River and Saint Thomas.  They showed enough in those games to stay in the second spot.  The Green Wave will look to get on track when they take on Spaulding this week.

No. 3 Merrimack (1-0) opened with a 4-0 shutout of Somersworth/Coe-Brown.  A Wednesday date with Saint Thomas looms on the horizon.

No. 4 Winnacunnet (2-0) shoots up the rankings after beating Portsmouth and knocking off Oyster River, 3-2.  They’ll have a long layoff for the holiday season as the rest of the division has games on tap this week.

No.5 Goffstown (1-0) took care of Alvirne 6-3 in their season opener.  Somersworth/Coe-Brown is on deck this week.

No. 6 Oyster River (1-1) takes a tumble despite going 1-1 for the week.  They knocked off Dover with a late surge but fell to an upstart Winnacunnet. They’ll have two chances to get right his week with Portsmouth and Alvirne coming to visit.

No. 7 Somersworth (1-1) fell to Merrimack in the season opener 4-0 but rebounded to beat Timberlane.  They’ll host Spaulding and Goffstown this week.

No. 8 Alvirne (1-1) beat Timberlane but was overmatched by Goffstown so they slide down to the 8th spot.  They’ll travel to play Oyster River this week.
