Just one change this week in the latest HNIB News New Hampshire Division 2 Top 8
St. Thomas Aquinas won its 12th straight game in a showdown with #2 ranked Oyster River, beating OR 3-2 to retain the #1 spot. The Saints get Round 2 with in-town rival Dover on Wednesday.
Oyster River did rebound in a big way, however, taking care of Somerworth/Coe-Brown 7-2. OR looks ahead to Merrimack (Wednesday) and Kingswood (Saturday).
#3 Portsmouth/Newmarket (8-2-1) had a tie with Dover in its only action of the week. The Mules face Alvirne/Medford on Wednesday.
Goffstown‘s (7-3-1) move to #4 is the only change in the rankings this week. The Grizzlies have a Saturday date with Dover.
#5 Somersworth/Coe-Brown takes on D3 heavy Berlin/Gorham on Wednesday. A key tilt for both teams.
#6 Dover (5-5-1) followed up the tie with Portsmouth/Newarkert with a win over Kingswood (3-2). The Green Wave get Goffstown on Saturday following its Wednesday battle with St. Thomas Aquinas.
#7 Merrimack (3-4-0) had a 3-2 loss to Goffstown in its only action.
#8 Kingswood (5-6-1) had a win over Kennett. They are off until a Saturday date with Oyster River.
