Three wins separate No. 1 John Stark/Hopkinton from regular-season perfection. Achieving that milestone will be challenging with D2 No. 3 Goffstown looming Tuesday.

The General Hawks handled ConVal/Conant on Saturday, 5-0. Following Tuesday’s test the G-Hawks have a return engagement with CVC Saturday before visiting their closest pursuer, Monadnock/Fall Mountain on Sunday morning.

All No. 2 Monadnock/Fall Mountain has done is win. MFM silenced Hollis/Brookline-Derryfield, 5-0, and then Sanborn Sunday,8-1. They finish up against CVC Wednesday, at No. 8 Pembroke/Campbell Saturday and home against JSH Sunday with a chance to reverse an early 6-0 loss to the division leader.

No. 3 Belmont/Gilford knocked off rival Berlin/Gorham Saturday, 3-1, and closes the regular season at No. 6 Kennett.

Prior to that loss to Belmont/Gilford, No. 4 Berlin/Gorham knocked off D2 Lebanon-Stevens/Mount Royal, 1-0. The Mountaineers face Laconia/Winnisquam in Wednesday’s finale.

It was a tough week for No. 5 Hollis/Brookfield-Derryfield, which squeezed a win against Sanborn in between losses to CVC and MFM. HBD closes the campaign with a Wednesday/Saturday home-and-home against No. 7 Moultonborough/Inter-Lakes.
