New Hampshire D3 Poll
Nothing has changed in the D3 poll for the second consecutive week. No. 1 Belmont-Gilford stays on top by virtue of a four-win week that saw it feast on unranked teams while outscoring Sanborn, Manchester West, No. 6 Souhegan and ConVal by a 36-9 aggregate count. No. 7 Kearsage and a rematch with Souhegan close out the regular season,
No. 2 John Stark/Hopkinton squeezed past Kennett, 3-2, then handled Kearsage. Dates with Berlin-Gorham and Kennett remain as the Generals seek their third consecutive State final.
N0. 3 Berlin-Gorham extended its winning streak to seven games via routs of Kearsage, ConVal and No. 8 Laconia-Winnisquam. Wednesday’s clash with JSH highlights a three-game closing week for the Mountaineers.
No. 4 Kennett halted a three-game slide with Saturday’s 4-2 win against Souhegan. The Eagles close out the regular season against ConVal and JSH.
No. 5 Moultonborough/Interlakes all but assured a post-season berth with its 6-3 upset of Kennett. Two games with Souhegan remain, which should determine the final seeding for the six-team tournament.
