No. 1 John Stark/Hopkinton has given every indication it means business in defense of it state title. Thus far the General Hawks have blitzed No. 8 Kearsage/Plymouth, Berlin/Gorham, Sanborn and Kennett by a cumulative 31-4 margin, posting a pair of shutouts.

No. 2 Monadnock/Fall Mountain has kept pace with season-opening wins against Laconia/Winnisquam, No. 6 Hollis-Brookline/Derryfield and Belmont/Gilford.

No. 3 Berlin/Gorham knocked off Sanborn, Belmont/Gilford and No. 7 ConVal/Conant but got outclassed by JSH, 6-0.

No. 4 Moultonborough/InterLakes scored one-goal wins against Belmont/Gilford and Kennett but stumbled against CVC.

No. 5 Pembroke/Campbell broke fast with wins against CVC, KP and Laconia/Winnisquam before falling to HBD Saturday.
