New Hampshire D3 Boys Semifinals: No. 1 Kennett will defend title vs. #2 JSH

The General Hawks (15-3-2) return to the State title stage for the first time since 2014 following Friday night’s win that snapped MFM’s six-game winning streak. Brett Patnode popped in a pair of second-period goals for JSH, offsetting a 27-save performance by Huskies goalie Isaac Jasinski. Noah Champman assisted on Patnode’s game-winner just 15 seconds into the second period. MFN finished 15-5-0.

JSH squares off with reigning State Champion Kennett in this afternoon’s title game at SNHU (2:45 p.m.).

No. 1 Kennett 6 vs. No. 5 Belmont/Gilford 1

The Eagles (19-1-0) were in control from the outset as theu rolled into this afternoon’s State title defense against JSH. Colby Couture’s third-period strike that made it 4-1 represented his 100th career point. Michael Seavey had a pair of goals and Reilly Murphy, Connor Doucet and Jeff Palmer also scored. Goalie John Biggio stopped 15 shots for the win. Belmont/Gilford finished with an 11-8-1 record.

Kennett won both regular-season meetings against JSH, 3-0 and 3-2.
