Sometimes you simply have to go with the results and that’s reason enough for a change at the top in this last regular season HNIB News New Hampshire Division 3 Top 6.

When new No. 1 Lebanon/Stevens/Mount Royal (7-3-1) tied, 2-2, and defeated, 4-2, previous front-runner No. 2 Berlin/Gorham (11-2-1) this week, it gave LSMR a 2-1-1 record in four head-to-head match-ups this season. The fact those were the only five points the Mountaineers ceded in 13 games can’t be ignored.

Additionally, LSMR’s split against a solid D1 Keene club factors in, carrying more weight than BG’s 3-2 win against sub-.500 Bow in its only D1 match.

No. 3 Kennett (7-2-1) won its final five, capped by Wednesday’s 8-0 romp past No. 6 Laconia/Winnisquam/Inter-Lakes (3-6-0).

No. 4 Pembroke/Campbell (5-2-0) started late and finished early in its shortened five-week regular season.

No. 5 Berlin/Gorham (6-7-1) faced D2 Kingswood three times in the final week, winning the first two and tying Saturday’s finale, 4-4.
