New Hampshire D3 Poll
The jockeying for post-season positioning is under way in earnest, especially since the NHIAA Divsion 3 competition has been pared down to six teams this winter.
Undefeated No. 1 John Stark/Hopkinton, the 2013 champion and 2014 finalist, continues to be the class of the field. JSH handled Berlin/Gorham in a key match-up Saturday, 4-1, and faces only No. 7 Laconia/Winnisquam this week on Saturday.
Once-tied No. 2 Kennett moves up one spot. The Eagles routed Manchester West but had Saturday’s scheduled contest with Belmont/Gilford postponed due to a Zamboni breakdown. Kennett faces off with Sanborn and ConVal this week.
No. 3 Berlin/Gorham will look to bounce back from that Saturday loss to JSH in next Saturday’s key clash with No. 4 Belmont/Gilford, which handled No.6 Moultonborough-Interlakes before having Saturday’s game at Kennett postponed.
No. 5 Souhegan unloaded by a combined score of 18-6 this past week in wins against Sanborn and Laconia/Winnisquam. The Sabers face only Moultonborough/Inerlakes on Saturday.
