Camille Kouroriez Newton

– #23 seeded Newton Co-op advanced to the second round with a 2-0 shutout win over #10 seed Hingham in a game at the Pilgrim Arena. The game was scoreless entering the third period before the Crush broke through with goals by Danielle Morrill and Ellie Fahey. Senior goalie Camille Kouroriez was outstanding with 45 saves. The Crush move on to face the winner of Friday’s Bishop Feehan-Arlington Catholic matchup.

– #15 seed Peabody/Lynnfield/North Reading got two-goal performances from Sarah Powers, Hannah Gromko and Shirley Whitmore in a 9-2 win over Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake. The Arlington-Marblehead winner awaits for PLNR. Shea Kelleher had both goals for WH/SL.

Kaci Ryder Shrewsbury

– Two goals apiece from sisters Kaci Ryder and Mia Ryder and one from Katie Vona powered sixth-seeded Shrewsbury to a 5-0 shutout win over Auburn. The Colonials will face the Methuen/Tewksbury-Stoneham/Wilmington winner in the next round. Aislinn Bennett chipped in with three assists. Auburn finishes up at 12-7 overall.
