– It was tight through two periods for top-seeded Norwell, but the Clippers prevailed in the end beating #32 Gardner 7-3. Nolan Petrucelli and Quinn Simmons each scored a pair of goals. Timmy Ward, Kevin Leary and Garrett Fisher all added one. They will face Norton Saturday night in the Round of 16.

#17 Norton earned a big 4-2 win over Blackstone Valley Tech. Josh Cohen, Palash Raina, Anthonty Santangelo and Liam Coffey all scored. Freshman Ari Parker was key in goal. The Lancers draw Norwell in the next round.

– Stoneham defeated Greenfield 6-1 in the first round behind freshman Mike Taranto’s two-goal night. Mason Phillips was solid in net for the Spartans who will travel to Martha’s Vineyard in the next round.

– The Vineyarders advanced with a 5-1 win over Fitchburg/Monty.

– Cohasset/Hull won a wild 3-2 game in double overtime against Swampscott. Finn Carragher had the game winner for the Skippers. Robbie Casagrande and Matt Mahoney also scored. They draw the winner of Shawsheen/Hamilton-Wenham next.

– Dover-Sherborn/Weston defeated Latin Academy 2-1 in overtime. Sawyer Garzone got the game winner. Thomas Sacco also scored. Next up they will play the winner of the Sandwich-St. Bernard’ matchup. St. Bernard’s won its preliminary game, 5-3, over John Paul II led by two goals from Ryan Gallant.

– Ashland held on to win 4-3 over Littleton. Senior Jake Keaveny scored a pair and Chris Bratica and Kellan Kissane also scored. Jack Rossi was solid in net for the Clockers who will play the winner of Dennis-Yarmouth/Bourne in the next round.
