It is always tough to beat a team three times in the same season, but the defending MIAA Division 4 state champions are heading back to the Garden.

Sandwich shutout league foe Nantucket 3-0 to earn its spot in the final in hopes to go back-to-back.

Colin McIver Sandwich

Senior captain Colin McIver was the hero as he netted all three goals for the Blue Knights. He also reached the 50-point mark and the season and joined the 100-point club. He would score the only goal Sandwich would need with a rocket from the right point in the first period.

Mitchell Norkevicius was solid in net for 16 saves.

Sandwich will face either Norwell or Grafton, who will square-off today (Sunday) in the other D4 semifinal, in the state final on March 19. The Blue Knights played both teams during the regular season, falling to Norwell 4-1 and downing Grafton 3-2.
