MIAA Boys Division 3 Tournament – Wednesday’s Quarterfinals Recap: Watertown Wins Thriller; #2 Lynnfield, #3 Medfield Bounced

The MIAA Division 3 semifinals are all set after Wednesday’s quarterfinals. With the times and locations to be announced, top-seeded Scituate will play Watertown and Triton will face Nashoba Regional.

James Sullivan Scituate

– Scituate earned a return trip to the final four with a 4-2 win against Essex Tech.  Timmy Lochiatto, Dylan Richman, James Sullivan and Teagen Pratt scored for the Sailors.

– Watertown/Wayland advanced to the semifinals with an exciting 3-2 win against Nauset. Mauricio Souza scored the winning goal with five seconds left to play. James Erickson and Anthony Venezia also scored for the Raiders. Cam Connery and Logan Poulin scored for Nauset.

Here is Souza’s game-winning goal for the Raiders:

– Triton avenged earlier losses to Lynnfield with a 5-2 victory against the second-seeded Pioneers. Luke Sullivan scored two goals for the Vikings. Andrew Johnson added one, as did Michael Taylor and Cal Wardwell. This was only a 1-0 game heading into the third perio.   Jack Carpenter and Joe Raffa scored for Lynnfield.

– Nashoba Regional earned its spot in the semifinals with a 1-0 win against third-seeded Medfield. Joey Quinn scored the only goal of the game for the Wolves in the third period for the win.
