– In #8 Essex Tech’s postseason opener, the Hawks netted three third-period goals to defeat Northbridge, 3-0. Brian DeLisio put Essex on the board at 2:31, Logan Casey and Brady Leonard added goals in the final three minutes to put the game out of the Rams’ reach. Essex will now play Pembroke (Sunday, 6:30pm at Essex Sports Center)

– #9 Pembroke advanced to the next round after defeating St. Paul Diocesan, 2-0. Brandon Perry scored both goals for the Titans, while Brendan Abban and Colin Blake each had two assists. James Stone earned the shutout.

– #13 Hopedale/Milford began play in the MIAA Division 3 state tournament with a 6-2 victory against East Longmeadow in a round of 32 game. Brady Butler scored four goals and assisted on two, both scored by Jake Frohn who assisted on all four of Butler’s goals, claiming his 100th career point in the process. Hopedale moves on to face #4 Nauset (Saturday, 3pm, Charles Moore Arena).

Tommy Workman Dracut/Tyngsboro

– -Down 1-0 entering the third period, #12 Dracut/Tyngsboro scored three third period goals en route to a 3-1 win over #21 North Quincy. After a scoreless first period, North Quincy took the lead when Shea Winters scored a power-play goal. Just 18 seconds into the third, the Middies tied the score on a goal from Jacob McDougall. At 10:51 of the third, Colin Underwood put Dracut/Tyngsboro in the lead. Tommy Workman added an empty-net goal with 46 seconds left. D/T will now face #5 Watertown (Saturday, 6:30pm at John Ryan Arena).
