MIAA Boys Division 1 North: Moniz, Fenwick Blank #6 Reading

Jake Moniz
Bishop Fenwick

*  #11  Bishop Fenwick stunned #6 Reading, 2-0, for the school’s first post-season win in eight seasons. Crusaders senior Jake Moniz was a brick wall in goal, stopping all 36 Reading shots. Freshman Patrick Roach scored the only goal BF would need early in the second period, and Ian Worthley sealed it with an empty net tally. Fenwick will face third-seeded Winchester in a quarterfinal matchup Sunday.

Patrick Archambault

* #4 Andover scored in the first minute and never looked back, cruising to a 7-0 win over Medford. Evan Arpin led a balanced attack with a pair of goals for the Warriors. Leo Byers, Patrick Archambault, Tommy Tavenner, Anthony Previte and Steve Ingram all scored as well for Andover, who plays the winner of tonight’s Burlington-Newburyport battle on Sunday.
