The Eagles overcame a spectacular 42- save performance by the Marauders’ Kevin Dacey when freshman Brian Carrabes deposited the rebound of Kyle Hentosh‘s initial shot for the game-winner with 34 seconds left in regulation. Ryan Farrow, from Hentosh and Paul Edson, gave SJP a 1-0 lead early in the second period. Belmont junior Will Domeniconi tied it on the power play with 1:35 left in the second period. Belmont finished 10-8-4.

Arlington Catholic
Arlington Catholic 3, Waltham 1
Jack Bertolami’s second goal of the game, assisted by Mike Balboni, proved to be the game-winner with 1:41 to play. Mason Beecher added an empty-netter. Bertolami’s first goal, from Dan Settipani, gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead after the first period. Waltham tied it in the last minute of the second period, 1-1, on Steve Giardina‘s goal assisted by Declan Reynolds and Andrew Miller. Waltham wound up 11-7-4.

St. Mary’s
St. Mary’s 2, Reading 1 (OT)
Anthony Bono’s 20th goal of the season came on a 4-on-3 power play in the second extra session and sustained the Spartans’ Sectional title defense. Marc Zampanti staked St. Mary’s to a 1-0 lead in the second period and Nick Miele matched that for the Rockets in the third. The game had a lengthy delay to replace a shattered section of glass. Reading finished 12-9-2.
The Sachems opened up a pair of three-goal leads, 3-0 and 4-1, and withstood the Mustangs’ closing surge. James Kiley, Jack Rockhold, Ian Wilson and Jack Keane has Winchester’s goals. Keane’s, midway through the second period, was the game-winner. Ryan Mann, Harold Welch and Gino Ramasci countered for the Mustangs, who finished 11-6-4.
