One small change is the only difference from last week in this latest HNIB News Massachusetts Girls D1 Top 10.

It was two more wins for #1 Austin Prep (15-0-1), as the Cougars trounced Arlington Catholic, and then doubled up New Hampshire power Hanover (6-3). A BIG game is up on Wednesday with #3 St. Mary’s (12-2-0), which flexed its muscles with a pair of 8-0 wins over Lexington and Auburn. Austin Prep has another battle on tap with Notre Dame Saturday, while St. Mary’s take on Arlington Catholic Saturday.

#2 Woburn, also 15-0-1, had wins over Watertown (4-1) and Belmont (3-2). The Tanners take on ML Liberty foes Arlington (Wednesday) and Reading (Saturday).

#4 Methuen/Tewksbury (14-1-0) continues to impress, compiling solid wins over Winchester (6-2) and HPNA (4-0), Two more tough games this week for the Red Rangers with Billerica/Chelmsford (Wednesday) and Westford Academy (Saturday).

#5 Shrewsbury (13-0-1) had its perfect season thwarted in a 2-2 tie with Billerica/Chelmsford, but the Colonials also had solid wins over Algonquin/Hudson (4-0) and Needham (1-0). Longmeadow (Monday) and Beverly/Danvers (Saturday) are on this week’s docket.

A tough loss to Notre Dame snapped #6 Duxbury’s (12-2-1) long winning streak. The Dragons, who also have a win over Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake (8-1), will play Walpole (Wednesday) and Falmouth (Saturday).

#7 Barnstable (11-1-4) had wins over BMW/ORR (3-0) and Falmouth (4-3). This week, the Red Raiders take on Sandwich (Wednesday) and Norwell (Saturday).

#8 Andover (9-3-2) played just once, but it was a big win over Acton-Boxboro (7-0). The Warriors will see Westford (Thursday) and then HPNA (Saturday).

A 5-2 win over Marblehead keeps Masconomet (10-3-1) at #9. The Chieftains ready for Beverly/Danvers (Wednesday) and Algonquin/Hudson (Saturday).

#10 Westford Academy (8-3-3) shaded Billerica/Chelmsford (1-0) in its only start. With the top ranked opponents on tap, it could be a big week for the Gray Ghosts.
