Massachusetts D2 Boys Highlights: Scituate takes third straight; Big win for Wilmington

Some highlights from Massachusetts Division 2 action this week…

Sam Rennick

* Triton had a nice Cape Ann League win as Sam Rennick, Joey Conte, Connor Kohan, Jake McKendry, Dylan Leavitt and T.J. Regan each scored once in a 6-2 decision of Pentucket.

* Wilmington humbled Tewksbury by a 7-0 count. Bobby Lord scored a pair of goals for the Wildcats, while Joe Hill, Andrew Sullivan, Dan Woods, Tom Worob and Chris Spinazola each had one for the Wildcats.

Liam Walsh

* Goals by Jeremy Curley, James Anderson and Colin Curley got Medway back on track in a 3-0 Tri-Valley League win over Holliston.

* Scituate won its third straight game, downing North Quincy 5-1 as Ryan Harrigan had a hat trick. Liam Walsh and David Murray also had goals for the Sailors. Walsh also had a pair of goals in a 5-0 shutout win over Winthrop.

* Owen Bailey, Liam McLean, Henry Nelson and Brad Labadini each had a goal to power Concord-Carlisle to a 4-1 win over CMass foe Leominster.

* Sandwich bested Nauset 5-3 with goals from Mike Barrasso, Sean Boden, Jack Hemeon, Andrew Childers and Caleb McDermott.

* Danny Lincoln‘s goal with 20 seconds left gave Plymouth South a 4-3 win over rival Plymouth North. Collin Costello, Sean Colbert and Matt Smith also scored for the Panthers. who improved to 9-1-1.

* Garrett Young had a pair of goals as Masconomet got past Beverly 4-3 in a key non-league tussle. Zach Smith and Andrew Gotts also scored for the Chieftains.

* Defenseman A.J. Sousa fired home four goals as Stoneham blanked Saugus, 6-0.

* Ryan Nolte had the goal as D2 #1 Canton forged a 1-1 tie with D1 Newburyport.
