Hanover (2-0), the defending MIAA Division 3 state champions, move into the top spot after opening with wins over Plymouth South (3-1) and North Quincy (7-0)

Lynnfield (2-0) goes up to second after Cape Ann League wins over Amesbury and Triton.

Pre-season #1 Scituate (2-2) drops to #3 after splitting its first four games, defeating Norwood 5-3 and Quincy 5-3 and falling to Norwell, 4-3, and Pembroke, 4-3.

#4 Medfield (2-1) dropped its opener to D1 King Phillip, 5-4, but came back with Tri Valley League wins against Holliston, 4-1 and Westwood, 3-1.

#5 Danvers (2-1-1) dominated against Peabody/Saugus in its opener, 11-1. The Falcons also defeated Greater Lowell/Nashoba, 3-1, tied Luenburg/Ayer-Shirley, 1-1 and bowed to league rival Winthrop, 3-2.

West Springfield (2-0-1) stays at #6 after opening with wins against Longmeadow, 5-1, and Westfield, 4-3, and a tie with East Longmeadow, 4-4.

#7 Dighton-Rehoboth/Seekonk (1-0) has just one result to date, a 4-3 win over Rhode Island’s South Kingstown (4-3)

An impressive start vaults Nauset (3-0-0) to the #8 spot. The team has scored 23 goals in its first three wins. A rematch with Nantucket is scheduled for Friday.

Nashoba Regional (3-0-1) of Central Mass. enters this week at #9. Nashoba has allowed just four goals in its first four games.

#10 Essex Tech (3-0-0) opened with wins in its first three games, with wins against North Quincy, 6-1, Minuteman, 11-3, and Rockport, 6-3.
