Massachusetts Boys D2 Highlights: Triton’s Rennick The Latest To Reach 100 Career-Point Plateau

* Sam Rennick scored a pair of goals, scoring the 100th point of his career, and James Tatro had one, as Triton defeated Newburyport 3-1 in its Cape Ann League finale.

* Danvers trimmed Beverly 3-1 thanks to goals from Jared Mscisz, Tyler Puska and Jack Thibodeau.

Scituate

* Sophomore William O’Keefe had a hat trick and Campbell Pierce chipped in with four points to lead Tewksbury to a 7-2 win over Concord-Carlisle.

* Scituate took home the Breen Cup, and also qualified for the post-season with a 4-0 blanking of Cohasset. Angus Reid, Jack Thompson, Cam Swan and Evan Ames each had a goal, while Ryan Song had the shutout between the pipes.

* A hat trick from Chris Stoddard, two goals from Owen Manning and one from Zach Either powered Whitman-Hanson to a 6-0 win over Abington.

* Quincy got goals from Griffin Lynch and Jason Whalen to get past Oliver Ames, 2-1.

* Marblehead snuck past rival Swampscott, 3-2, thanks to two goals from Will Shull and one from Colin Hart.

* Six different players – Johnny Oblak, Andrew Toland, Brendan Quinn, Jacob Leverone, Jacob Noyes and Tim Duffy – each had a goal in Lincoln-Sudbury’s 6-1 win over Malden Catholic.

* Grayson Badger notched a hat trick and Mike MacDougall, Aidan Chin and Silas Reed all scored once in Brookline’s 6-2 win over Taunton. With the win, the Warriors clinched a tournament berth.
