Mass. HS Hockey: EMass Division 3 Highlights

Bedford took care of Swampscott, 4-2, getting two goals in each the first and third periods. Dan Wentzell and Ethan Miller each scored a pair of goals for the winners while the Big Blue got scores from Ryan Donnelly and Mike Johnson.

Lynn lost for the first time, falling 7-4 to Northeast in the championship of the Lynn Christmas Classic. Northeast led, 3-0, after one. Northeast’s Zach Sheehy, Michael Wesley, Steve Czarnota got things going for the winners with first-period goals. Alex Amico and Brett Erelli scored for Lynn to make it 3-2.

Abington scored huge 5-3 win over then No. 1 Cohasset, 5-3, thanks to two goals and an assist from Joe Marella.

Plymouth North and Blue Hills finished all even at 2-2. Nick Edwards and Pat Joy scored for Blue Hills. Nick Prisco, Jake Graham and Kyle Moore had assists.

East Bridgewater topped Southeastern/West Bridgewater, 2-0. Trevor Lawler scored for Eastie, and Austin Lundbohm added a tally as well.

Shawsheen  handled Northeast, 4-2, thanks to Brandon Gentile and his goal and two assists and single goals from Phil Mills, Tom Avtgis and Ryan Collins.

Austin Braley’s pair of goals and assists helped lead Bourne to a 6-1 win over Greater New Bedford Voke. Mitchell Eldridge and Dawson Prophett added a goal and an assist apiece. Jim Commesso and Ed Lavelle also scored goals for the Canalmen.

Unbeaten Cape Tech/CCA scored an 8-5 win over Apponequet/Bishop Connolly with Cole Therrien and Danny Crossen each lighting the lamp three times. Caleb Dalterio and David Carty also scored.

Somerset/Berkley dropped a close one to Martha’s Vineyard – 4-3. MV’s Alex Vukota had a goal and two assists.

Rockland destroyed Mashpee/Upper Cape, 7-1. Tim Daggett had a goal and three assists, and Derric Trudeau scored twice. Mashpee/Upper Cape had a goal from Andrew Vinitsky. Their goalie, Anthony Visconte, made 33 stops.

Luc Sauve’s hat trick helped Bishop Stang handle Pope John Paul II with ease, 10-0.

South Shore Voke’s 8-1 victory over Monomoy was a byproduct of hat-trick performances from Shane Coughlan and Chris Grazioso. Collin Fader had Monomoy’s goal.
