Jim Clark joined Hockey Night in Boston in December 2019, and has covered high school hockey in Massachusetts for more than three decades. He also covers high school hockey and is a multiplatform editor for the Boston Globe, and previously spent two decades as high school hockey reporter at the Boston Herald, where he also served as the high schools editor from 2000-06. Clark was honored by the Mass. State Hockey Coaches Association with its William Stewart Award for contributions to the sport in May 2019, and also received the Joel Perlmutter Award for media coverage in 2006. A graduate of UMass, he also spent eight years as sports editor/reporter at the Sentinel & Enterprise in Fitchburg, and has extensively covered high school hockey in Central and Western Mass. as well as Connecticut.

The Hawks gave Leonard his 250th career win by blanking Northeast, 8-0, in CAC play. Chris Maher got the first two goals of his career for the Hawks, and Bryan Swaczyk also tallied twice. Swaczyk chipped in two goals and an assist, with Brady Leonard, Riley Sobezenski and Ryan Lariviere also scoring.

* Hopedale/Milford continued its unbeaten start and winning streak, and also got a milestone from Brady Butler, who notched his 100th career point as part of a hat trick in a 7-0 win over Oakmont. Cam Collins added two goals and an assist, Jake Frohn and Will Piett had three assists each, and John Tomaso posted the shutout. … Butler, Sean McGee (goal apiece) and Tomaso did the work in H/M’s 2-0 win over Worcester. … The hot play continued in a 4-0 win over Grafton/Blackstone Valley, behind Tomaso’s third consecutive shutout plus two goals and an assist for Butler.  McGee also scored twice in the win.

Jeremy Lacroix Marlboro

* In a showdown of unbeaten Central Mass. teams, Marlboro left no doubt with a 9-1 thumping of Nashoba. Marcus Chrisafideis had a hat trick and three assists for the Panthers, who scored five times in the first period after falling behind 1-0 early. Mark Evangelous (two goals, three assists) and Jeremy LaCroix (two goals, two assists) also had big offensive games. Braden Deckers and Gavin Daly added goals. … The Panthers also blanked Westboro, 4-0, behind Matthew LaCroix’s 23 saves. Luc Masse had a goal and assist, and Colin Tunnera, Jeremy LaCroix and Sam Miele the other goals. … Marlboro edged Longmeadow, 2-1, with goals from Chrisafidies and Jeremy LaCroix. Daniel Esteves made 25 stops.

Nashoba Regional

* Nashoba bounced back with an 8-3 win over Hudson, led by Billy Johns and Joseph Quinn with two goals and two assists apiece. … Earlier in the week, the Wolves doubled up Groton-Dunstable, 4-2, with Johns scoring twice and Colin Ruschioni and Joe Scanlon adding the others.

* Groton-Dunstable and North Middlesex split a pair of back-to-back 4-2 games. NM got a three-goal third period, two of the tallies from Sean Myers. Ryan Lavery and T.J. Murphy also scored for the Patriots, and Jimmy O’Keefe had three assists. … Two days later, it was Cole Beigel with a pair of goals for G-D.

* North Middlesex also beat Wachusett, 3-2 on Connor Lavery’s overtime goal. Myers had the other two goals for the Patriots.

* Northbridge rallied with four third-period goals, including Connor DaSilva’s game-winner with 2:17 left to stun St. Paul, 4-2. Chase Falcon, Cam O’Brien and Joe Sullivan also scored for the Rams.

* Dighton-Rehoboth/Seekonk stayed unbeaten with a 4-1 win over Old Rochester/Fairhaven in the South Coast Conference. Colten Nastar, Sebastian Rebelo, Aidan Boothe and Evan Pereira all scored for the Falcons.

* ORR/Fairhaven bounced back with a 7-2 nonleague win over Upper Cape, getting two goals each from Harrison Hughes and Derek Gauvin.

* Nauset won the Codfish Cup with its 3-0 victory over Dennis-Yarmouth. Mathew Swanson made 18 saves for the Warriors, who got goals from Cooper Guiliano, Cooper McIntire and Dan Deering.

* Oliver Ramson made 24 saves and Cambridge blanked Methuen, 3-0, in a Dual County/Merrimack Valley 3 matchup. Chris Gould, Jack Toner and Caleb Jaffe scored for the Falcons.

Danny FIeld Methuen

* Goals from Noah Kneeland and Zach Anderson lifted Methuen past Haverhill, 2-1. … Jack Allard had two goals and two assists, and Danny Field also scored twice in the Rangers’ 8-5 win over Northeast. Owen Kneeland chipped in a goal and two assists.

* Cam Caron scored twice, including the winning goal 1:28 into overtime that propelled Dracut/Tyngsboro past Haverhill, 5-4. Tommy Workman and Josh Savoie chipped in a goal and assist apiece. … Workman scored a tiebreaking power play goal with 1:39 left, then added an empty-netter as D/T grabbed a thrilling 6-4 win over the same Haverhill team. Colin Underwood scored the first of his two goals just nine seconds into the game for D/T, Mikey Desmarais had a goal and two assists, and Caron a goal and assist. … In a 7-0 nonleague win over Leominster, Desmarais had two goals and Workman a goal and two assists. Andrew Kazanjian made 22 saves for the shutout.

Cole Coyne Scituate

* Cole Coyne’s shutout goaltending back Scituate in its 3-0 win over Whitman-Hanson in the Patriot League. Ben Whitman, Dan Brown and Teagen Pratt each had a goal for the Sailors. … Coyne added another shutout in a 6-0 win over Quincy, which got two goals from Brendan Boyle. … The Sailors beat Quincy again the next night, 3-1, led by Johnny Donahue’s first varsity goal and additional tallies from Pratt and Boyle. … Boyle also scored twice as Scituate doubled up Pembroke, 4-2. Brown and Whitman had the other goals.

* Led by Anthony Birolini’s goal and two assists, Pembroke rolled past North Quincy, 7-2. Jaden Curtis notched his first varsity goal and James Stone made 34 saves for the Titans.

Robbie Hanna Hanover

* Robbie Hanna’s two goals and two assists sparked Hanover’s 5-0 win over Pembroke. Donovan Ryan got the shutout for the Hawks, who got goals from Ben Lines, Mikey Munroe and Ryan Coutts. Max Dasilva chipped in three assists and Zach Lee a pair. … Hanna also had the goal for the Hawks in their 1-1 tie with Quincy.

Pari Lykourinos Medway

* Evan Monaghan made 29 saves and added an assist for Medway in its 3-0 Tri-Valley League win over Norwood. Nathan Van Saun, Pari Lykourinos and Alex Infanger had the goals for the Mustangs. … Infanger and Lykourinos also had two goals each and Monaghan 22 saves in a 5-1 win over Norton.

Mike Whalen Norton

* Mikey Whalen’s two goals and assist sparked Norton in its 8-1 win over Holliston. Max Sherman and Maxwell Sheng had a goal and assist each for the Lancers.

* Kevin Arthur’s power play goal gave Medfield a 1-0 win over Dedham.

* Jimmy Thibodeau’s overtime goal lifted Danvers past Beverly, 2-1 in the Northeastern Conference. Aidan Lanphere added a goal for the Falcons.

* Cam Wilbur scored twice, Bobby Manning added a goal and Southeastern edged Diman, 3-1, in Mayflower play. Ryan LeBaron made 23 saves for the Hawks.

Drew Damiani Lynnfield

* Chase Carney continued to fill the scoresheet with a hat trick and two assists, leading Lynnfield past Pentucket, 6-0, in the Cape Ann League. Evan Fitzemeyer posted the shutout for the Pioneers, who also got offensive contributions from Drew Damiani (goal, two assists), Will Steadman (goal, assist) and Timmy Sullivan (goal). … In a 5-2 nonleague win over Westwood, it was another hat trick and two assists for Carney, as well as a goal and two assists apiece from Damiani and Aiden Burke.

Bishop Stang

* Bishop Stang stayed unbeaten with a 7-0 nonleague win over Bourne. Justin Gouveia (hat trick), Quinn Pine (two goals, assist) and Jack Jedrey (three assists) continued to lead the offense for the Spartans.

* Everett/Revere’s David Saia had a huge game with four goals and two assists as the Crimson Tide blanked Lynn, 10-0, in the Greater Boston League.

* Sean Farley led a balanced scoresheet with two goals for Stoughton/Brockton in its 7-2 win over Cardinal Spellman.

* Owen Hall (four goals, two assists) and Christopher Torres (hat trick, three assists) had big games for West Springfield in its 10-2 win over Hudson. … Hall and Torres were at it again, with two goals and two assists apiece, in a 5-2 win over East Longmeadow.

* Ben Corbin had two goals and an assist for Ludlow in its 5-2 win over Southwick in Western Mass. play. Sam Cocchi and Ryan Kurtz added a goal and assist each for the Lions.
