Jim Clark joined Hockey Night in Boston in December 2019, and has covered high school hockey in Massachusetts for more than three decades. He also covers high school hockey and is a multiplatform editor for the Boston Globe, and previously spent two decades as high school hockey reporter at the Boston Herald, where he also served as the high schools editor from 2000-06. Clark was honored by the Mass. State Hockey Coaches Association with its William Stewart Award for contributions to the sport in May 2019, and also received the Joel Perlmutter Award for media coverage in 2006. A graduate of UMass, he also spent eight years as sports editor/reporter at the Sentinel & Enterprise in Fitchburg, and has extensively covered high school hockey in Central and Western Mass. as well as Connecticut.

Johns finished with two goals for the Wolves, with Marcus DiBello adding the other.

* Bishop Stang topped St. John Paul II, 5-2, as Adyn Simmons scored twice while Justin Gouveia and Aidan Cousineau chipped in a goal and an assist apiece. … Gouveia and Simmons had a goal and assist each in a 4-1 win over Nantucket. Seamus Marshall and Noah Grigson also scored, and Matt Dore made 26 saves.

* Mikey Desmarais scored twice and added an assist to lead Dracut to a 5-2 nonleague win over Rockport. … Freshman Cam Caron also scored in overtime of a 4-3 win over Dover-Sherborn/Weston.

* Dalton Ghelfi and Nolan Sturdevant each scored twice and Southeastern rolled to a 6-2 win over Blue Hills in the Mayflower Athletic Conference. The Hawks clinched a berth in the State Vocational Championship with the win. … The Hawks also crunched Tri-County, 10-1, behind two goals each from Thomas Mondeau and Keagan Bunker. Nick Falcione, Bobby Manning, Ghelfi, John Whalen, Nolan Sturdevant and Luke Martineau all scored for Southeastern.

Chase Carney Lynnfield

* Chase Carney’s hat trick sparked Lynnfield in its 5-0 nonleague win over Medford. Evan Fitzemeyer made 13 saves for the Pioneers, who also got Jarrett Scoppetuolo’s first varsity goal as well as a goal and assist from Aidan Burke. … Lynnfield also tied Masconomet, 1-1, as Joe Raffa scored.

* Paul Magalhaes had a hat trick and two assists to propel Matignon to a 5-2 win over Concord-Carlisle. Mike Logiudice added a goal and two assists for the Warriors.

* John Lynch had two goals and two assists in North Quincy’s 5-1 win over Somerville.

* Led by Kyle Mahan’s seventh shutout of the season as well as a hat trick from David Egan, Essex Tech blanked Hamilton-Wenham, 5-0.

* Josh Marcoux and Foxboro shut out Blue Hills, 5-0, with Jack Watts scoring a pair of goals for the Warriors.

* Evan Monaghan made 23 saves for Medway in its 4-0 win over Norton in the Tri-Valley League.

* Evan Barbosa’s goal with 1:40 left in overtime gave Diman a 6-5 victory over Old Rochester/Fairhaven.

* Methuen shut out Minuteman, 5-0, behind the goaltending of Owen O’Brien, as well as Jack Allard’s two goals and assist.

* Hopedale stayed unbeaten with a 6-2 win over Assabet Valley, led by Brady Butler’s two goals and assist. … The Raiders also outlasted Northbridge, 7-5, thanks to two goals and two assists from Cam Collins.
