Tewksbury’s Jeremy Insogna (18) celebrates his goal that gave the Redmen a 1-0 lead over Waltham at Ed Burns Tournament. Tewksbury went on to win, 4-1.

Tewksbury, the No. 1 team in the Hockey Night in Boston Massachusetts Division 2 rankings, continues to make the statement that the best teams in the division can skate with anyone in the state. The Redmen continued their perfect start with league wins over Newton South and Lincoln-Sudbury, then followed up by rolling past D1 Waltham in the opening round of the Ed Burns Coffee Pot Hockey Classic.

The next handful of teams stayed the course as well, leaving little change at the top of the rankings.

No. 2 Masconomet took down Danvers in its only action from last week, while No. 3 Canton continued to cruise in the Hockomock League, beating Foxboro and North Attleboro.

No. 4 Gloucester also took down its only Northeastern Conference foe, Marblehead.

The shift begins at No. 5, where Norwood moves up, having knocking off neighboring rival Walpole to begin the week. The Mustangs also cruised against Bellingham.

New No. 6 Walpole rebounded from the Norwood loss to beat Brookline, and had Natick on the ropes in the Ed Burns tournament before settling for a tie (and shootout loss).

Patriot League foes Silver Lake and Duxbury each are up a spot to Nos. 7 and 8, respectively. The Lakers had a busy week with wins ove Dartmouth, Plymouth South and Whitman-Hanson. Meanwhile, the Dragons beat Pembroke in their only action.

Two new teams round out the rankings. No. 9 Algonquin is the lone D2 entry outside of Eastern Mass. in the rankings, but has won four straight since a loss to D1 Shrewsbury.

No. 10 Quincy is the third Patriot League team in the list this week. The Presidents haven’t played since a 3-1 win over North Quincy on Jan. 22, but remain one of the tougher teams in the league.

A pair of huge top-10 matchups are on the docket Saturday. No. 2 Masconomet hosts No. 4 Gloucester on Saturday (6:20, Essex). Masco was a 4-3 overtime winner in the teams’ first meeting. Patriot League rivals Silver Lake and Duxbury clash at 5:40 p.m. at The Bog, with the Lakers winning the first meeting in overtime, 2-1.

Here are this week’s matchups for top 10 teams:
