Expect the usual gritty defensive style of play from the Bulldogs as they look to be a factor in both the Hockomock Division and all of Division 2.
Coach Dennis Aldrich will look to a quartet of returning forwards to be instrumental in the scoring department with the graduation of Maggie Malloy and Lauren Fitzpatrick in junior Lizzie Tassinari (19 pts), a returning league all star, junior tri-captain Maria Femia (11 pts), junior Ellie Rae Roberts (12 pts) and sophomore Tess Khoury (11 pts).
Senior tri-captains Alexa Maffeo (13 pts) and Meg Alrdich (8 pts) and sophomore Allie McCabe will ve vital to the defensive success. New freshman Olivia Maffeo hopes to have a role.
Freshman Carolyn Durand is in the mix for the goaltender’s job.
Home Rink: Sgt. Pirelli Veterans Memorial
The Panthers have some key offensive shoes to fill with the graduation of Cassie Ronan and Megan Paterson, but are confident the returning group will be able to all contribute.
Junior Amanda Lewandowski is coming off a 24-point campaign and will be a key, along with juniors Libby Carter (9 pts), Katelyn Brown (9 pts) and Maddy Dolan and senior Jordan Dwyer.
Coach Margie Burke’s defense will be led by three senior veterans in Tina Pisano (20 pts), Gina Vignone (9 pts) and Gianna Cameron (6 pts). Junior Gabby Colace is a returning starter between the pipes.
As many as nine freshmen could make the roster.

With only two seniors on the roster, the Warriors will need contributions from a host of younger players who will need to make an impact.
Senior captain Liz Healy and junior captain Emma Pereira will lead the offensive attack for coach Roy Bain, who also welcomes back juniors Alex Ledin, Tess Luciano, Lily O’Brien, Emma Garland and Ella Waryas and sophomores Kylie O’Keefe and Sam Ledin.
The defensive unit will consist of junior captain Melissa Shanteler, junior Meghan O’Hara, junior Julia Muttart and new freshmen Brooklyn Levins and Maya Manganaro.
In goal, sophomore starter Jess Widdop comes off a year where she was named team MVP.

Ken Assad, a long-time assistant with the Franklin HS boys program, takes over a new head coach and looks forward to working with the girls and taking the team’s challenging schedule one game at a time.
Warrior captains will be senior defenseman Sammy Robison and senior goaltender Cristina Coleman.
