A former sportswriter and news editor at the Woburn (MA) Daily Times Chronicle, he has been the HNIB News' key reporter for Mens Prep School hockey since 1988, as well as womens hockey, both at the prep school and high school levels. for almost 20 years. Elena Govoni Walpole

* Walpole had a productive weekend. The Timberwolves beat Braintree 1-0 in OT on Saturday on a goal by Elena Govoni, and then on Sunday, snapped Westwood’s 10-game winning streak with a 4-2 win with two goals from Govoni, and one each from Ella Dacey (game-winner) and Maddy Graceffa.

* Morgan Bieler had the lone goal as Hopkinton/Dover-Sherborn slipped past Medway/Ashland, 1-0.

* PLNR doubled up Shawsheen/Bedford for its tenth win in a row. Senior Catie Kampersal scored two goals to pace the win. Ava Buckley had a goal and two assists.

* A late goal by Rylinn Briggs was the difference in Falmouth’s 6-5 win over Barnstable. Riley Devlin had two goals for the Clippers. Aly McEneany scored four times for the Red Hawks.

* Molly Whittier continued her outstanding season with two goals and an assist to lead Waltham to a 4-1 win over Concord-Carlisle. Ella Curtis and Olivia Egirous each had a goal and assist.

* Weymouth got past Needham, 2-1, with goals from Mary Sargent and Anna Rice.

* Halle Greenleaf and Morgan Linskey each had a pair of goals and Clara Cary added the other in Beverly/Danvers’ 5-0 win over Marblehead.

Ava Hines

* Molly Murphy notched a hat trick and Nayeli Thayer also scored to power Milton past Brookline, 4-0.

* Ava Hines had the overtime goal, her second of the game, in Norwood’s 3-2 decision over Medfield. Michaela Reen had the other goal for the Mustangs.
