* Belmont/Watertown exploded for four goals to upset third-seeded Lincoln-Sudbury, 4-1, in a game at Valley Sports Arena. Molly Driscoll, Lola Rocci, Evey Long and Mia Taylor each had a goal in the win, as the Marauders rallied from an early 1-0 deficit. * Archbishop Williams advanced in dramatic fashion, as freshman Emily Fleming‘s goal in the final minute of regulation snapped a 1-1 tie and gave the Bishops a 2-1 win over #6 Methuen/Tewksbury. Caroline Batchelder also had a goal for ABW, while Sammy Ryan had the lone goal for the Red Rangers, who finish 15-5-2.

* Freshman star Bella Freitas scored a pair of goals in the final two minutes of regulation, snapping a 2-2 tie and allowed #2 St. Mary’s to advance with a 4-2 win over Boston Latin. Alyssa Norden and Katy Sarazen also scored for the Spartans, who now will take on Shrewsbury in a quarterfinal that will be a rematch of last year’s D1 state title game.

* Shrewsbury continued its trek to defend its state title, downing Bishop Feehan, 4-1 in a Round of 16 matchup. Lauren Albertson had a pair of goals to lead the offense. Mia Ryder and Kealy Fay also lit the lamp. Senior goalie Risa Montoya notched her 57th career win, becoming the all-time wins leader for the Shrewsbury program.

Malden Catholic

* Goals by Ava Baker (assist), Avery White and Brianna Donegan (assist) were all that Malden Catholic needed in a 3-0 win over Westford Academy in its Round of 16 game. Taylor Daley had the shutout in goal. The Lancers move on to face Hingham on Thursday in the quarterfinals.

Caroline Doherty

* Hingham notched its second straight post-season shutout, blanking HPNA, 3-0. Caroline Doherty scored a pair of goals for the Harborwomen, including a shorthanded breakaway for the game’s first goal. Alexa Harris had the other goal for Hingham.

* Top-seeded Notre Dame Academy had enough to get past pesky Braintree, taking a 3-1 win behind goals from Sarah White, Chase Harmon and Reese Engel. The Cougars look ahead to their quarterfinal contest with the winner of Sunday’s game between Peabody and Pope Francis.
