Taking a look at some pre-Christmas game highlights:

* In Waltham’s 8-3 win over Lexington, forwards Olivia Egirous (4g-2a) and Angalisa Caceda (1a-6a) had huge games for the Hawks.

* Maeve Murray‘s goal in overtime propelled Boston Latin to a 3-2 non-league win over Braintree. Phoebe Niese and Estelle Corbitt also had goals for the Wolfpack, while Claire Joyce and Bridget Walsh countered for the Wamps.

Paige Nottingham HPNA

* Paige Nottingham had a hat trick, Gabi Locke scored twice, and Rachel Keating and Kendall LaRiveire also found the back of the net in HPNA’s 7-3 win over Newburyport in the Northeastern Hockey League.

* Burlington travelled down to Falmouth and came away with a key 3-2 win over Falmouth in Division 2. Shea McDonald notched the OT game-winner for the Lady Devils. Anna Viglione and Caitlin Tremblay also had goals in the win.

Kayla Leonard Marshfield

* Kayla Leonard and Sarah McIntyre both had shorthanded goals, and Kailee Campbell added a third period marker as Marshfield blanked Bishop Stang, 3-0.

Kasey Litwin
St. Mary’s

* In a key early-season matchup in Division 1, St. Mary’s cooled off Lincoln-Sudbury, 3-0 behind goals from Kasey Litwin, Keira Twomey and Bella Freitas.

* Lucy Irwin‘s hat trick powered Central Catholic to a 4-1 win over Stoughton. Sophia Powers had the other goal for the Raiders.

* Goals by Bella Gillis, Abbie Poole and Mikayla Holland were enough for unbeaten Malden Catholic to sneak past Pope Francis, 3-1, in a battle of D1 Top 10 clubs.

* Violet LoRusso and Rebecca Sobol both netted two goals, and Annie McEachern and Olivia Roark had single tallies in Shawsheen/Bedford’s 6-2 win over Wakefield.
