And just like that, the 2022-23 regular season has come to a close. Similar to last year, the MIAA Girls Division 2 Tournament will be a dogfight, with many teams capable of winning it all, and a bunch of others fully capable of upsetting a higher seed.

Duxbury (19-1-2) finishes the regular season at #1. The Dragons won a pair of games at this week’s Hingham Showcase, including a 2-0 win over #2 Andover (14-3-2) in what could have been a preview of a second matchup late in the post-season.

#3 Canton (15-2-4), a finalist last year, appears to be heading into the post-season firing on all cylindes. The Bulldogs beat #4 Algonquin/Hudson (16-3-1), the defending state champion, this week.

#5 Archbishop Williams (16-3-1) expects to be a big factor as well.

The MIAA Girls Division 2 tournament pairings will be announced on Saturday morning.
