Duxbury (24-1-2) finished the regular season as the top-ranked team in the HNIB News Massachusetts Girls Division 2 Top 10, and the Dragons ended the year in the same spot.

Duxbury put the finishing touches on an impressive post-season with a 5-2 win over Canton in Sunday’s MIAA Division 2 state final, avenging a loss in last year’s post-season.

Canton (19-3-4) ends up at #2. The Bulldogs didn’t miss a beat under first-year head coach Nikki Petrich.

#3 Andover (17-4-2) proved to be one of the state’s top teams. Their four losses this year? two to Duxbury, one to D1 state champ Shrewsbury, and one to D1 runner-up St. Mary’s.

#4 Archbishop Williams (19-4-1) made great strides this winter, reaching the semifinals. Their four losses this year? one to Duxbury, two to Canton, and one to Andover, the three teams above the Bishops in this final ranking.

2022 state champion Algonquin/Hudson (18-4-1) finishes at #5. The Titans were eliminated by Canton in a quarterfinal matchup.
