In stark contrast to last week, there was just one change in this latest HNIB News Massachusetts Girls Division 2 Top 10, and the only change came at the tenth spot.

#1 Duxbury (10-0-0) had an impressive three-win week, that included a huge comeback 4-3 win over Notrre Dame that saw the Dragons rally from three goals down. They take on Marshfield (Monday) and Norwell (Saturday) this week.

#2 Archbishop Williams (7-0-1) played just once, taking a 3-1 win over Bishop Feehan. The Bishops get Weymouth (Wednesday) and Hingham (Saturday) this week.

A shutout win over Franklin (3-0) keeps Algonquin/Hudson (6-1-1) at #3. The Titans will be tested Monday against Wellesley, and face Westford Academy Saturday.

#4 Andover (5-2-1) lost to D1 #1 St. Mary’s, and responded with a blanking of Acton-Boxboro. A tough week looms for the Warriors: Billerica/Chelmsford (Monday, Beverly/Danvers (Thursday) and Shrewsbury (Saturday).

#5 Falmouth (5-1-3) had a big league win over Nantucket, and then tied Rhode Island’s LaSalle 2-2 on Saturday. The Cape Cod Furies (Wednesday) and Barnstable (Saturday) are on tap this week for the Clippers.

A tie with a good Dedham team was the only action for #6 Canton (6-2-2) this past week. The Bulldogs, winless (0-1-2) in their last three, take on Medway/Ashland (Wednesday) and Medfield (Saturday), two more tough games.

#7 Sandwich (5-3-0) had an exciting 4-3 win over Pembroke and gets a solid Plymouth team Monday, and will see Dennis-Yarmouth Wednesday and Martha’s Vineyard Saturday.

#8 Braintree (5-2-1) downed Wellesley (2-1) and Weymouth (3-0). The Wamps also swing back into action Monday against Hanover, and also have Brookline on Saturday.

Lincoln-Sudbury (8-1-0) suffered its first loss Saturday against D1 power Shrewsbury in a hard-fought 3-2 game. The Warriors get HPNA on Monday, Wayland/Weston on Wednesday and Cambridge on Saturday.

Making its way into this week’s rankings at #10 is Milton. The Wildcats improved to 8-1-1 with wins over Walpole and Ursuline Academy. Latin Academy/Fontbonne (Monday) and Framingham (Saturday) are this week’s foes.

As usual, in Girls Division 2, there are plenty of teams to keep an eye on, including but not limited to Norwell, Medway/Ashland, Dedham, Barnstable, Martha’s Vineyard, Pembroke, Winchester and Malden Catholic.
