There’s been a bit of a shakeup at the top of the HNIB News Massachusetts Girls Division 2 Top 10 this week.

Taking over at #1 is Falmouth (16-1-1). The Cape & Islands League champions are closing in on 100 goals scored after wins over Archbishop Williams (2-1) and Martha’s Vineyard (6-1). A pair of testers await this week with #5 Canton (15-3-1) on Monday, and Winthrop on Saturday.

Duxbury (15-3-0) finds itself at #2 this week after the Dragons suffered a pair of 2-1 losses to D1 heavies Malden Catholic and Pope Francis. Things won’t get any easier this week with Notre Dame (Thursday) and Canton (Saturday) on the docket.

#3 Burlington (14-1-2) got tied up by Arlington (1-1) and also had wins over Belmont/Watertown (2-0) and Melrose (6-0). The Lady Devils will see Wakefield (Tuesday) and Wellesley (Saturday).

Nauset/Monomoy (15-2-1) saw its long unbeaten streak snapped in Sunday’s loss to Pope Francis, but the Warriors will keep the #4 spot this week. They look ahead to Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday.

Canton has now shut out four consecutive opponents as it readies for the post-season. The Bulldogs also have Westwood on Wednesday to make it three ranked opponents this week.

#6 Milton (15-3-0) continues to win, racking up a trio more Ws taking down Newton Co-op, Walpole and Weymouth. The Wildcats face Braintree Wednesday and then a non-leaguer with Marshfield Saturday.

#7 Longmeadow (10-3-1) saw its unbeaten streak snapped by Algonquin, but turned around and knocked off Pope Francis. The Lancers have the upcoming week off.

#8 Westwood improved to 13-4-0 following Tri-Valley League wins over Medfield and Hopkinton/Dover-Sherborn. The Wolverines look to make a splash against Canton Wednesday.

Algonquin (10-6-1) checks in at #9 this week. The Titans have won four straight, including the win over Longmeadow. Algonquin will takes a shot at Shrewsbury on Wednesday.

#10 Pembroke (13-4-0) beat Quincy/North Quincy in its only action of the past week. They are off until a Saturday matchup with Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake.
