Mass. Girls D2 Top 10
Unlike last week, there was not a lot of movement in this latest installment of the HNIB News Massachusetts Girls Division 2 Top 10. The top teams all won their games, or didn’t or couldn’t play.
#1 Duxbury (6-0-2) did play and picked up two more wins over Hingham and Scituate. The Dragons can not look past Pembroke this Wednesday.
#2 Andover (4-1-0) had a mid-season win over Methuen/Tewksbury and will have its hands full with unbeaten Acton-Boxboro (D1 #7) on Wednesday.
It was a quiet week for #3 Sandwich (4-0-0) but the Knights are back Wednesday when they travel to Martha’s Vineyard, then host rival #8 Falmouth (4-2-0) on Saturday in a big one.
#4 Algonquin/Hudson (8-0-1) continues to cruise along with wins over Longmeadow and Oakmont. The T-Hawks have a week to rest, not scheduled for game action until a week from Monday against Franklin.
Paused for the week, #5 Woburn (3-1-1) returns for a huge battle with #7 Winchester (4-0-0) on Wednesday. The Red & Black have also been idle.
