There was very little change in this week’s HNIB News Massachusetts Girls Division 1 Top 10.

#1 St. Mary’s (12-1-1) continues to roll along, quieting #3 Malden Catholic and besting Bishop Stang in its last two games. The Spartans face Central Catholic (Monday) and Reading (Wednesday).

A 3-1 win over Archbishop Williams was #2 Notre Dame Academy‘s (8-2-2) only game of the past week. The Cougars get their crack at Malden Catholic Wednesday, and face Rhode Island’s LaSalle Academy on Saturday.

Malden Catholic (8-3-2) did rebound from the loss to St. Mary’s with a 3-1 verdict over D2 power Canton.

#4 Hingham (9-5-1) knocked off NSA and was shutout by D2’s #1 team Duxbury 3-0 on Saturday. Plymouth (Wednesday) and Pembroke (Saturday) are on the horizon.

Lincoln-Sudbury (11-2-1) jumped back up to #5 after a big win over Shrewsbury. A big week has the Warriors facing Algonquin (Monday), Arlington (Wednesday) and Westford Academy (Saturday).

#6 PLNR (11-1-0) chalked up two more league wins, key victories over Gloucester (2-1) and Beverly/Danvers (5-2). Two more tests are upcoming – Winthrop (Wednesday) and Shawsheen/Bedford (Saturday).

#7 Shrewsbury (6-3-3) downed Andover (2-0) before the loss to L-S. The Colonials look ahead to HPNA (Wednesday) and Methuen/Tewksbury (Saturday).

After a long layoff, #8 Pope Francis (9-4-1) returned to action with a win over Algonquin. The Cardinals are off again this week until a Sunday matchup with Marblehead.

#9 Methuen/Tewksbury (10-3-0) had a solid week, taking down Westford (3-1) and HPNA (5-2). Billerica/Chelmsford is next on Wednesday.

#10 Belmont/Watertown (7-0-3) tied up D2 #2 Burlington 2-2 in its only action. Stoneham/Wilmington (Wednesday) and Winchester (Saturday) are up next.
