Hard to believe there are less than two weeks to go in the 2023-2024 regular season. Post-season pairings will be out on February 24 leading into what should be an exciting playoff season.

#1 St. Mary’s (16-1-1) continues to lead the HNIB New Massachusetts Girls Division 1 Top 10, staying a cut above. The Spartans had a big week over PLNR this week, and also blanked Stoneham/Wilmington. Up next are Newburyport (Wednesday) and Beverly/Danvers (Saturday).

#2 Malden Catholic (10-3-3) had an interesting week. The Lancers knocked off D2 power Duxbury 2-1 and on Saturday rallied from three goals down to salvage a 3-3 tie with Bishop Feehan. Two more tough games await this week with HPNA (Wednesday) and Pope Francis (Saturday).

A 5-0 win over Arlington Catholic was the only decision of the week for #3 Notre Dame Academy (10-3-2). The Cougars get their crack at Duxbury (Wednesday) and face HPNA (Saturday).

It is now four wins in a row for #4 Hingham (13-5-1) after picking up victories over Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake and Quincy/North Quincy. A return match with WH/SLl is set for Wednesday.

#5 Lincoln-Sudbury (16-2-1) clinched the MVC/Dual County Large title with a shutout win over Methuen/Tewksbury, and then scored three third period goals to down Andover 3-2 on Saturday. The Warriors close out their regular season Wednesday against Waltham. They will be a tough out in the post-season.

#6 PLNR (13-2-0) braces for its second meeting of the season with Winthrop on Monday, coming off a solid win over Newburyport on Saturday.

Pope Francis (12-5-1) is up to #7 this week after a highly productive weekend that saw the Cardinals beat two of Division 2’s top teams in Duxbury (2-1) and Nauset/Monomoy (4-2). The tough schedule continues with Archbishop Williams (Wednesday) and Malden Catholic (Saturday).

#8 Shrewsbury (8-3-5) had a win over Acton-Boxboro and a tie with Westford Academy. The Colonials face a solid Algonquin team on Wednesday and Medway-Ashland on Saturday.

#9 Methuen/Tewksbury (12-4-1) fell to Lincoln-Sudbury but rallied for a 4-0 win over Waltham Saturday. The Red Rangers are off until seeing Acton-Boxboro on Saturday.

Boston Latin (14-3-2) makes its way into this week’s rankings at #10. The Wolfpack, champions of the MVC/Dual County Small, beat both A-B and Cambridge this week to wrap up league play. They have Latin Academy on Saturday.

TEAMS TO WATCH: Belmont/Watertown, Waltham, Bishop Feehan
